Located near Guerneville, California in Sonoma County's Russian River Valley, Applewood Inn, an adult only Bed & Breakfast, is on a knoll in the shelter of towering redwoods, this romantic inn has two distinct types of accommodations.Those in the original Belden House, where cozy chairs around a river-rock fireplace encourage loitering in the lounge area, are comfortable but modest in scale. The 10 rooms in the newer buildings are larger and airier, decorated in sage green and terra-cotta tones that recall a Mediterranean villa.

We regret that we cannot accept children, pets and are a non-smoking inn. (Due to our Liquor Licensingpersons under 21 years of age are not permitted in Belden House or the adjacent swimming pool area.)

Guests rave about the accommodating service, soothing atmosphere, and the earthy wine country cuisine served in the cozy restaurant built to recall a French barn. Dear Sylvia: I wanted to thank you so much for the wonderful time we had at your lovely Inn! All of the arrangements you made for us were executed with precision. Every employee we encountered (from the front desk to the massage therapists, including the room staff and restaurant staff) treated your business as if it were their own. Compliments to you!!! I was so impressed with your attention to detail from the way the rooms were decorated to the teabags in the little jars at breakfast. The picnic basket dinner in our room was incredible and it was in our room when we got back from our massages (just as you had arranged)! The "country" breakfasts were better than any breakfast I have ever had at any 5 star hotel! And, our massages were wonderful (I have had many many in my life and he was definitely one of the best, if not the best!). I just submitted a 5-star yelp review and we hope to visit your Inn on an annual basis. - Wendy

Dear Carlos, Sylvia and Staff: We just can't thank you enough for our recent stay at Applewood! It was great to be back and our room was simply spectacular. We loved the private balcony, hot tub, fire pit and in-room fireplace, and spent much of our time just relaxing there. We can hardly wait for our next visit.
