“A charming country inn hidden among the redwoods delivers five-star
amenities and an acclaimed California Provencal-style restaurant”
- Robb Report

The Inn at APPLEWOOD, a Sonoma County landmark built in 1922, has two types of accommodations. The nine rooms in the historic villa are comfortable and cozy, reflecting the charm of the Mission style architecture and a bygone era. The chairs in the living room encourage lounging around the rustic river-rock fireplace.

The ten rooms in the newer buildings are larger, airier, and feature gas fireplaces, jacuzzi tubs or showers for two. They are decorated in earth tones that recall a Mediterranean villa, and each of these rooms enjoys an outside patio, terrace, verandah, or balcony.  Three of these rooms, our Spa Suites,  have been furnished with fire pits and their own private hot tub.

All of the rooms at the Inn at APPLEWOOD boasts memory foam mattresses, fine Italian linens, European down comforters, imported spa therapy toiletries, plush monogrammed robes, and hair dryers. Cable, flat screen televisions, telephones, CD players/clock radios, and wifi access allow guests to keep in touch with the world outside of Applewood.

Built in 1922 for Ralph and Gretchen Belden and their son John . The architecture is inspired by the missions and homes of the early Spanish Grandees who settled Alta California. Thick stucco walls, heavily beamed ceilings & river rock fireplaces in the public rooms and graceful arches enhance this lovely Russian River Valley estate designed by noted architect, John Warnecke.

The mansion houses a great room, solarium / game room, and reading lounge. The dining rooms and kitchen are home to the inn's cooking school. The multi - leveled terraces around the swimming pool and outdoor jacuzzi are adjacent to the mansion. (Room rate range = Sun-Thu and Fri-Sat)
